Why “Life and Love and Why”? It’s from a Switchfoot song, of course. It also works incredibly well as the title for a blog.
I’m a 26-year-old library assistant, adjunct English instructor, and graduate student. I was an English major as an undergrad, and I’m currently working on my M.A. in English. I was born in a small town that you’ve most likely never heard of. I was diagnosed with diabetes on New Year’s Eve 2007. I read voraciously. I love grammar.
I love coffee, but I’ve recently cut back on my caffeine intake. I hate silence, so I rarely stop listening to music when I’m alone. In order to take a break from studying and grading, I like to watch sci-fi TV shows to the point that sometimes I’m afraid to venture outside. I have a list of things to do before I die, most of which involve traveling; the list currently contains 112 items (33 of which have been accomplished).
I teach remedial writing to college freshmen, and I enjoy it much more than I ever thought I would. I don’t blog as often as I like, but I also don’t like to fill my blog with nonsensical posts. Instead, I prefer writing about those subjects that matter most: life and love and why.
Yay!
